11 Australian Government Forms You Can Now Auto-Fill
The Manual Form Problem
For many Australian GPs, completing government forms is a daily fact of life. A patient needs a Centrelink medical certificate. A WorkCover patient needs a certificate of capacity. A veteran needs DVA documentation. Each form follows a fixed structure, asks for largely the same information that already exists in the patient record and consultation notes, and yet must be completed by hand, field by field, every single time.
The average government form takes 8–15 minutes to complete manually. For a practice that processes 20 such forms per week, that is 3–5 hours of GP or admin time. It is also a source of errors: information transcribed from one system to another introduces risk of inconsistency, omissions, and incorrect codes.
How Auto-Fill Works in maeda
After a consultation, maeda generates a SOAP note from the transcript. If a government form is required, the clinician selects the relevant form from the document generation panel. maeda reads the clinical context (diagnosis, medications, relevant history, capacity assessment) from the note and pre-populates the form fields automatically.
The clinician reviews the pre-filled form, makes any necessary edits, and the document is ready for signing and submission. What previously took 10–15 minutes of manual entry now takes 60–90 seconds of review.

Which Plan Includes This?
Post-consultation form auto-fill is available on the maeda Pro plan ($135/month per doctor). The Pro plan is designed for practitioners who handle government and clinical documentation and need to maximise the efficiency of their workflow.
The Free plan includes basic AI SOAP note generation. If your practice frequently completes post-consultation forms, upgrading to Pro is likely to recover its cost in admin time within the first week of use.
We are continuously adding new forms based on feedback from clinicians. If a form your practice regularly uses is not yet supported, contact us. We actively prioritise additions requested by maeda users.
